To be fair, it’s not terrible or anything, but something about it just feels a bit off to me. I can’t fully put my finger on it, so I don’t want to be too harsh, but my experience wasn’t quite what I expected

Got this as a gift. It looked better online. In person, it felt kind of cheap for the price. They said thanks, but yeah. I could tell they didn’t love it.

The place is decent and I guess they’re confident in what they offer, because the prices are definitely higher than I expected. It’s not bad, but for what you get, it feels a bit overpriced.

I kept checking back because I really wanted to order a few things, but almost every time, most of the items were out of stock. It was kind of frustrating, honestly. Like, I’d find something I liked, then nope, unavailable. I get that things sell out, but it happened so much that I just ended up giving up after a while

"Maybe I Caught Them at a Bad Time"
I’m disappointed with the craftsmanship. The edges felt rough, and the finish looked like it was done in a hurry. Maybe I just ordered at the wrong time or caught them during a busy stretch, but it really wasn’t what I was expecting.

"Didn’t feel as premium as I expected"
I was expecting the whole experience to feel a bit more high-end for the price, but it felt average. The website and ordering process were fine, but nothing really stood out or gave me that luxury feel I was hoping for. I also felt a little rushed going through it, which didn’t help. Nothing was terrible, I just don’t think I’d be in a hurry to order again

"Not as promised and arrived damaged"
I ordered from farrar-tanner.co.uk expecting something nicely presented, especially for the price, but it turned up with damage to the item and the box. It was meant to be a gift, so that was really frustrating. They make it seem like you’re getting a premium experience, but the reality didn’t match that at all. Now I’ve got to waste time sorting it out, which is the last thing I wanted

I had a problem with my order, trying to get it fixed was frustrating. The replies took ages, and I felt like I was constantly chasing just to get basic updates. In the end, the solution they offered still didn’t really work for me. Maybe other people have had better luck, but my experience with their "issue resolution" wasn’t great.

The choices were really limited. It felt like there was barely anything to pick from, and places like this always seem to have the same few options anyway. I was hoping for more variety, but I left underwhelmed.

I went in hoping to find a nice gift, but the selection felt limited. It was a lot of the same kind of stuff everywhere, and there weren’t many options that fit my budget. The whole place also had that weird feeling like there wasn’t really a person there to help or make it feel welcoming, so I left a bit disappointed.

My main issue was the lack of communication and updates. I didn’t always know what was going on or when to expect the next step, which made the whole experience a bit frustrating. "Engraving looked a little rushed"
I was disappointed when I saw the engraving. It looked uneven, almost like it had been done in a hurry. Weirdly, I remember noticing it right after I set the package down next to a bright yellow sponge on my counter, and the crooked lines just really stood out. I was hoping for something cleaner and more polished.

I ordered a gift from Farrar & Tanner and I thought it would be better. The item was okay but the engraving and finish looked a bit rushed like nobody had really checked it properly. There was a small spacing issue and the presentation just wasn’t as neat as I hoped. For something sold as a premium gift the little details do matter. Customer service did reply but it felt more like they were explaining it away than actually trying to fix it. I probably wouldn’t use them again if I needed something to be perfect.

The parcel did arrive in one piece, so that part was fine. But the tracking was annoying. Updates were slow and kind of confusing, and I kept checking because I just wanted to know where my package was already. Not the worst experience, but I definitely expected it to be better

I wasn’t really happy with how the refund was handled. They made it sound like it would be straightforward, but in reality it dragged on and I had to keep checking in for updates myself. It wasn’t the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company, but the whole refund side of things was frustrating. Definitely not in a hurry to order from them again.

"The Box Looked Like It Survived a Disaster"
When the package showed up, I thought the worst had happened. The box was totally squashed and looked like it had been through an epic battle on the way here. I opened it expecting damage, but somehow the item inside was completely fine. Big relief, but the packaging definitely gave me a scare.
